We are a Cat Friendly Practice!

Alarming Statistics:
  • In the United States, there are 86 Million Owned Cats and 78 Million Owned Dogs.
  • Almost twice as many cats than dogs never visit the veterinarian.
  • 41% of cat owners visit the veterinarian only for vaccinations.
  • 39% of cat owners say they would only take their cat to the veterinarian if the cat was sick.
  • 58% of cat owners report that their cat hates going to the veterinarian.
  • 38% of cat owners report that they get stressed just thinking about bringing their cat to the practice.

We take the stress out of bringing your cat to the vet!
  • Our cat-friendly waiting room keeps our feline friends separated from dogs.
  • We conform to the AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) handling guidelines.
  • Our facility has examination rooms dedicated to feline patients with calming Feliway pheromones. Feliway is a synthetic copy of the feline facial pheromone, used by cats to mark their territory as safe and secure. By mimicking the cat's natural facial pheromones, Feliway creates a state of familiarity and security in the cat's local environment.  As a result, Feliway can be used to help comfort and reassure cats while they cope with a challenging situation and help prevent or reduce the stress caused by a change in their environment.
  • Commitment to continuing education for feline medicine and surgery.
  • Our cat ward, hospitalization area, and operating room have been assessed to include appropriate feline equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • We have special cat hours or as we like to call them, Thursday "Purrsday". We strive to only schedule cats during the hours of 1 pm - 2 pm in an effort to reduce the stress of hearing dogs while they are here.
  • We strive to keep down disturbing smells, noise and commotion in our hospital and lower the stress level of your cat. Our goal is to alleviate the stress of transportation and make your trip to the vet a comfortable and enjoyable one.
